Do you Judge a Book by it's Cover? Arts and Culture Colwood Society invites Members to enter work for the upcoming non-juried Members' Show, Judge A Book By Its Cover. Not a member yet? It is only $20 a year, and if you go on our website and register now, you can apply to be in this show. The challenge for this theme is to create Artwork that could be used for the cover of your favorite book: fiction, non-fiction, poetry, whether a famous classic or a little known or even unpublished. Have you written a book that needs a cover? Create Artwork in your own style. Text is not necessary in the work. It can be any size, in any medium, including 3D, that can be photographed as a book cover. Stretch your imagination; Will you paint the cover of an existing book or possibly make your canvas look like a book? Art Call will be available for submissions May 28th to June10th at midnight. We will take the first 60 pieces entered for wall hangings and all the 3D you can image. First come first served until we fill the gallery. You may submit two pieces at $20 each. The show runs from June 26th to July 20th with an Artist Reception on Sunday June 29th 1-3pm with author readings TBA
